How to Apply for a Zimbabwe Visa
UK citizens have three options for obtaining a Zimbabwe visa:
Visa on Arrival
Pay and receive your visa upon arrival at any port of entry in Zimbabwe.
Process:
- Complete the visa application form provided upon arrival
- Present your passport and required documents
- Pay the visa fee (cash in USD is preferred)
- Receive your visa stamp in your passport
Online eVisa
Apply online through the official Zimbabwe eVisa portal to get pre-approval before travel.
Process:
- Visit www.evisa.gov.zw
- Create an account and complete the application
- Upload required documents
- Pay the visa fee online
- Receive approval letter via email (typically within 2-3 business days)
- Present approval letter upon arrival
Apply at Embassy
Apply in person at the Zimbabwe Embassy in London.
Process:
- Download and complete the visa application form from the embassy website or collect in person
- Gather required supporting documents
- Submit application in person or by mail
- Pay the visa fee
- Collect your visa or receive by mail

Important Note

The embassy cannot extend visas once you are in Zimbabwe.

Go to www.evisa.gov.zw, Zimbabwe's official eVisa portal.
Create an Account
Register with your email address and password to create an account.
Complete the Application Form
Fill in all required fields with your personal information, travel details, and passport information.
Upload Required Documents
You'll need to upload:
- Passport scan (biographical page)
- Recent passport-sized photograph
- Travel itinerary or return ticket
- Hotel booking confirmation (for tourists)

Pay the Visa Fee

Wait for Approval
Processing typically takes 2-3 business days. You'll receive email notifications about your application status.
Download Your Approval Letter
Once approved, you'll receive and should download your visa approval letter. Print a copy to carry with you when traveling.
Present at Immigration
Upon arrival in Zimbabwe, present your approval letter, passport, and other required documents at immigration for final visa issuance.
Visas for Children
Children traveling to Zimbabwe require their own visas if they are included in Category B or C. Additional requirements include:
- Child's own passport
- Birth certificate showing parentage
- If traveling with only one parent or without parents: consent letter from the absent parent(s)
